Tis the season… for the annual court tavern show. These are always a blast. There is always much drunken debauchery. And there is always some fucking amazing band playing, This years line up is particularly awesome considering we are droppping records by two of these bands right after the new year. The Sirs should be playing some of their new material, Communication Redlight are just amazing, Let Me Run, hopefully breaking out some of their new songs from the Paper & Plastic EP that they’ve been recording… and Brian Fallon… so who could argue with that? See you there…

Cover Design by Jeff Caudill
Winter release news! so we just confirmed another release for early 2010… a split 7″ with California supergroup Your Favorite Trainwreck, which features Popeye of the band Farside and Jeff Caudill from the band Gameface. and New Brunswick’s own Communication Redlight which features ex-members of Delft and The Low End Theory. Here’s the skinny…
COMMUNICATION REDLIGHT. are a new New Brunswick, N.J. band… that play a modernized version of 90’s melodic hardcore. They are our dear old friends, and you are going to love them. Think Knapsack meets Inside. Without them this record would not be possible.
YOUR FAVORITE TRAINWRECK. Fuck I still can’t even believe we’re doing a record with these dudes. If you never heard of Farside or Gameface you should do yourself a favor and go check em out… as they were both Revelation Records favorites in the mid 90’s. When we were young and even dumber than I am now, ALL WE DID was go to shows, skateboard and listen to records…and you better believe Farside & Gameface were in heavy rotation. The Farside “hero” 7″ was the second 7″ I ever owned… and im sure a lot of you know, is in regular rotation every time I DJ. So it’s still a little surreal that we’re involved with this.
Anyway… Jeff Caudill is doing the cover and label design, and we’re looking at a tennative February/March release date. We’ll keep you hat and informed.
ALSO. don’t forget we have THE SIRS “she gets me high” 7″ coming out in January or February.
So… it’s been 9 years since the first Devildance release. The GIVE ME DANGER! 7″ Even despite the fact that I had no idea how to put out a record at the time this is one of my favorite releases. At the time Give Me Danger! were a new band tearing up the New Brunswick basement scene… with their intense live shows they were making punk rock dangerous again in the hub city… and everyone knew it. In retrospect I can’t even believe this record actually came out. We had no money, I had no design skills of any kind. I actually had a buddy of mine draw a devil character, then had another friend design it into a logo, and then had ANOTHER friend design the covers. In fact the only thing I actually did was the extremely amatuer hand illustrated label that you see up in the photo there. Ultimately I guess it didn’t even matter, the record was made by friends for friends… and the songs are fucking awesome. And since clearly not enough people out there had heard these guys… here are the songs from the 2001 GIVE ME DANGER! debut 7″… it’s really too bad these dudes didn’t stay together.
