damn. i remember meeting shannon at the original sayreville, nj, akatepark. it was a mini half with a few little launch ramps and whatnot. that was probably close to 18? years ago. after that id occassionally see him skating places around nj, like north brunswick high school. always just killing it. the last time i saw him was skating in sayreville some years ago. he was going super fast and ollieing a huge gap on jernee mill road. i heard he moved and never saw him since.
the article is 100% correct in saying he didnt get the respect he deserved. he was this compact little powerhouse skater who just ripped everything. very sad news. RIP

dude, that was well said, all true. i rode by that kid’s side growing up here in nj, moving to FL, in the same town and back in nj. i have so much history with my homey. so many laughs and awesome times, this news hit me real hard, and i still find it tough. i find it tougher that i couldn’t be there. that he had that much pain and i didn’t see it, or did he just get f***’d up one night in a state of confusion?
questions will never be answered, but i DEFINETLY sk8 a lot harder lately. and my ipod with only his music goes everywhere with me.
i got this area with his belongings(vids, a gnarred out rear venture) anybody interested in having a few of his items for keepsake or want to dub his music, contact me. i feel it should be spread out a little more. bcedge80@gmail.com.
